Solasafe (Pty) Ltd warrants Smash & Grab window film installed on a vehicle against cracking, crazing, peeling, delamination or excessive fading resulting from a manufacturing defect for five (5) years from the original installation date. ​ The warranty is registered to the vehicle’s VIN or registration number and remains valid if the vehicle is sold, subject to the original installation date and remaining warranty period. In the event of a confirmed product failure, warranty cover will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the remaining warranty period. If a vehicle window is broken and replaced, the warranty includes the refitting of Solasafe Smash & Grab film at an authorised Solasafe dealer, subject to prior approval and the remaining pro-rata warranty period. The glass itself is not covered under this warranty. ​ The Smash & Grab warranty also includes asset cover of up to R7,500 for loss suffered during a smash-and-grab incident, subject to the terms, conditions and approval of the appointed underwriter. Solasafe Smash & Grab film is designed to delay forced entry and improve glass retention. It does not guarantee the prevention of theft, injury, breakage or damage. This warranty is valid only if it is registered and authenticated by Solasafe within thirty (30) days of installation. The warranty may be void where damage or failure results from abuse, improper care, misuse or unauthorised alteration. Solasafe’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the applied film.
