Solasafe Window Film Warranty

Architectural (Flat Glass) Window Film

Solasafe (Pty) Ltd warrants architectural (flat glass) window film supplied and installed by an authorised Solasafe installer against cracking, crazing, peeling, delamination, or excessive fading caused by a manufacturing defect.

The warranty period is equal to the manufacturer’s warranty for the specific film installed, as recorded by Solasafe, and will not exceed seven (7) years from the date of installation.

This warranty applies to the window film only and excludes the glass itself, which is not warranted against cracking, thermal stress, or breakage. No guarantee is given regarding specific performance results, including energy savings, heat rejection, or glare reduction.

In the event of a confirmed product failure, Solasafe’s liability will be calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the portion of the warranty period already elapsed. Replacement film and/or refitting costs will be reduced accordingly, with the customer responsible for any balance.

The warranty is valid only if registered and authenticated by Solasafe within thirty (30) days of installation and may be void if the film is abused, incorrectly cleaned, improperly maintained, or exposed to abnormal environmental or structural conditions.

Solasafe’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the window film. Solasafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage. Full terms and conditions are available on request.

Smash & Grab Vehicle Window Film

Solasafe (Pty) Ltd warrants Smash & Grab window film installed on a vehicle against cracking, crazing, peeling, delamination, or excessive fading caused by a manufacturing defect for up to five (5) years from the original installation date.

This warranty is registered to the vehicle’s VIN or registration number and remains valid if the vehicle is sold, subject to the original installation date and remaining warranty period.

In the event of a confirmed product failure, warranty cover is calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the remaining warranty period. If a vehicle window is broken and replaced, the warranty includes refitting of Solasafe Smash & Grab film at an authorised Solasafe dealer, subject to prior approval and the remaining pro-rata warranty period. Glass itself is not warranted.

The Smash & Grab warranty includes asset cover of up to R7,500 for loss suffered during a smash-and-grab incident, subject to the terms, conditions, and approval of the appointed underwriter. Smash & Grab film is designed to delay forced entry but does not guarantee the prevention of theft, injury, or damage.

This warranty is valid only if registered and authenticated by Solasafe within thirty (30) days of installation and may be void in cases of abuse, improper care, or unauthorised alteration.

Solasafe’s total liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the applied film. Solasafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage. Full terms and conditions are available on request.
